# Founding Operations Lead

Palo Alto, CA Full-time · Founding

Own the execution layer across all active Octavia properties. You run the drilling programs, seismic acquisitions, permit processes, and contractor relationships that turn our targets into validated discoveries.

// You'll

- Plan and execute validation drilling programs — contractor selection, logistics, on-site supervision
- Manage seismic acquisition campaigns from survey design through crew handoff
- Own the permitting stack: federal, state, and surface access across multiple jurisdictions
- Build and run the operational playbook as we scale from a handful of properties to dozens

// We're looking for

- 8+ years running mineral exploration or O&G field programs end to end
- Direct experience managing drill contractors, seismic crews, and lab workflows simultaneously
- Deep familiarity with BLM, USFS, and state permitting in the Western US
- Comfortable in the field and in the boardroom — you write the ops memo and take the site call
